Allow me to honor you through my love of birth, service & wellness.
Mom & Dad,
Pour yourself some tea and take a deep breath. It's time to relax....
Where may I begin? What may I do to help you feel rested, content? To deeply enjoy these small moments with your bundle of joy?
These moments are fleeting, and healing well is essential.
May I prepare supper?
...clean house?
...hold and rock baby?
...help you get to the shower, fix the bed?
...wash laundry?
...feed the children or walk the dog?
Whatever your needs, I'm here to honor, serve and respect your journey through postpartum.
blessings

The word βDoulaβ comes from the Greek language, and means, βA woman who servesβ.
A Postpartum Doula specifically cares for a woman and family who has recently given birth.
What does that look like? Expert guidance, emotional and physical support... That may be household chores, making meals, cleaning, helping with older children, holding baby so mom can shower, lactation support, newborn care, nighttime newborn care, etc.
A doula, is a woman who serves.

It can be fun, exciting and frightening to introduce an older sibling to their new baby sister or brother. Will they like the baby? Will they not be getting the attention they need? Will they know mommy and daddy still love them, though they seem distracted with this new arrival...
So many concerns run through a parents head...
